#techtiptuesday – “Declutter Your Inbox: Streamline Your Outlook Emails and Save Space Efficiently”

June 17, 2025 by First Aid

1. Archive older messages:
Moving older emails to an archive file (.pst) frees up space in your active mailbox.

2. Empty Deleted Items and Junk Email folders:
These folders can accumulate a lot of deleted emails, so emptying them regularly is important.

3. Remove large attachments:
Identify and delete or save to another location any large attachments you no longer need.

4. Compact the PST file:
If you’ve deleted a lot of emails, compacting the .pst file can reduce its overall size.

5. Utilize the Mailbox Cleanup tool:
Outlook has a built-in tool that helps find and manage large emails, archive old items, and empty the deleted items folder, according to Microsoft Support.
